Balsamela is made according to original Acetaia San Giacomo recipe.
The inspiration is that of apple balsamic vinegar made in the hills of Modena and Reggio Emilia, where it has always been made in times when grape supply was low.
The difference with other balsamic lies in the cooking of organic apple juice instead of 100% organic grape juice which is cooked and acetified in ‘neutral’ containers to keep the aromas of the apple as much as possible.
It’s sweet-sour, the very delicate acidity deriving from the apple has the characteristic of being less intrusive and aggressive than that deriving from the grape.
By far our most versatile product, lending itself to both seasoned meats such as pork but also fresh cheese and simple vegetables.
Also perfect on vanilla ice cream or cream, with an apple dessert such as strudel or baked fruit pie, as an ingredient for cocktails, BBQ sauces or in a fruit salad.
